Tunable White LED Technology

Circadian systems utilize Tunable White LEDs, allowing the ceiling panels to automatically shift their colour temperature from a cool, stimulating 6000K in the morning to a warm, relaxing 3000K by late afternoon.

Humans evolved outdoors. Our brains rely on the changing color of the sun to regulate hormone production. Sitting under a static, 4000K fluorescent tube for 9 hours completely disrupts this cycle. A Tunable White system mimics the sky. At 9:00 AM, the cool blue light suppresses melatonin, waking the staff up. By 4:00 PM, the light warms up, reducing cortisol and preparing the body for a natural evening rest.

The "Post-Lunch Dip" and Melanopic Lux

To combat the 2:00 PM productivity crash (the post-lunch dip), DALI controls can be programmed to provide a temporary 30-minute "boost" of 6000K, high-intensity Melanopic Lux.

Melanopic Lux is a measurement of how much light stimulates the intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGCs) in the eye, which control alertness. By flooding the office with intense, blue-enriched light immediately after lunch, the lighting system acts like a shot of digital espresso, overriding the body's natural lethargy and keeping error rates low during the afternoon shift.

WELL Building Standard Certification

Implementing a fully automated Circadian lighting system is a core requirement for achieving the prestigious WELL Building Standard certification, which significantly increases the lease value of commercial real estate.

Top-tier tenants (tech firms, law firms) actively seek out WELL Certified buildings because they know the environment directly reduces staff sick days and burnout. While Tunable White systems require a larger upfront capital expenditure for the specialized dual-chip LEDs and DALI routers, the return on investment via increased tenant yields and productivity gains is massive.
